The annual Rotary Boules contest went ahead on September 8 at Sandy Balls Holiday Village, Godshill. Fordingbridge Rotary has a new committee and the new president cast an eye over the proceedings, with ‘social distancing’ guidelines followed.

New President Toni Butler has made her mark with a few changes. In line with the Rotary mantra ‘Service before self’, Fordingbridge Rotary is looking for ways of assisting local communities with projects such as ‘Rotary Young Musician Competition’, ‘Dictionaries for life’, and ‘Christmas lights’.

“Rather than being run by a set of committees, which is turning out to be difficult in this present pandemic era, Fordingbridge Rotary is now hoping to be ‘project led, and is actively seeking new projects from within the Fordingbridge and local areas,” Toni said.
