The Football Association has announced proposals for the Emirates and Buildbase competitions for season 2020-21
Emirates FA Cup
Salisbury FC are exempt until the First Round Qualifying on Tuesday, September 22, with teams coming through from the Extra Preliminary and Preliminary rounds on September 1 and 12 respectively.
The preliminary round stages have no replays, and the Prize Fund reverts to 2017/18 levels (about 50% reduction) because of Covid 19.
Buildbase FA Trophy
Salisbury’s first involvement is in the Third Round Qualifying, scheduled on October 31.
Unlike the FA Cup, where replays may take place possibly in the Competition Proper, the FA Trophy will not have replays at any stage.
The Prize Fund has been reduced because of Covid 19, not by a percentage but by a total of approx £60,000.
Competition Rules
The rules may have to be changed, but as yet unknown and for the upcoming season will be issued shortly before the start of each competition.
FA Youth Cup
The Whites have not entered to FA Youth Cup for the coming season.
