“To aspire to be outstanding in all we do by always aiming higher.” That’s the ethos at Wylye Valley C of E Primary School, Codford, where the Sports Ambassadors received a new Nike football kit from the Premier League Primary Stars initiative, set up as part of a wider scheme to encourage pupils to participate in school sport.
A letter accompanying the kit stated: “Premier League Primary Stars aims to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills, encouraging them to be: Ambitious, Inspiring, Connected and Fair.”
“This rhetoric chimes perfectly with us,” said Brad Howarth, sports lead at the school. “I am pleased for the children. It’s a fantastic initiative and has them really excited for inter-school matches ahead over the next year!”
