Galileo (Years 1/2) and Darwin (Years 2/3) classes at Wylye Valley School had a Kings and Queens Day when the pupils engaged in fun activities throughout the day. The children came dressed in appropriate clothes and displayed a wonderful mixture of nobility.

Both classes made crowns, held a coronation and found out about the different aspects of this ceremony. Galileo class made crown biscuits which they ate to celebrate their coronation ceremony. They also learned about what King Charles III does in his role. They continued their learning about castles by designing a castle to protect them from invaders. Darwin class made Victoria sponge cakes and ate them during a tea party at the end of the day.

Amanda Beeden, Galileo class teacher said: ‘The children came dressed in amazing outfits. They all looked fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the different activities throughout the day.’
