Salisbury 6th Form College (S6C) are holding online open evenings for the first time this week.

Principal Simon Firth will answer questions. He said: “The series of events give a flavour of what S6C has to offer and what student life is like at the college. We have devoted one evening to each of our faculties to sample as many subjects as possible.”

Students can also hear from the SENDCo and the Pastoral Lead, Rebecca Anderson, who will take questions about the LifeSkills programme and how tutoring works. Rebecca will introduce the Aspire to Excellence Programme designed to develop excellent study habits, provide extension material, super curricular engagement, debating and higher level thinking skills, and help students gain early insights into job markets, higher education pathways and how to prepare for a competitive degree, apprenticeship and employment applications. Current students will also be present in the online sessions to give prospective students an insight into College life.

Students can also talk to teachers and students from the Creative Faculty from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, September 22, via Google Meet video sessions.

The STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Faculty evening is on Wednesday, September, 23, 5pm to 7pm, and the Humanities Faculty evening runs on Thursday, September, 24 5pm to – 7pm.

Booking is required and the links to the live online sessions sent to those who have completed the short booking form at: https://www.salisbury6c.ac.uk/study-with-us/open-evenings/
