Toby’s Court

Toby’s Court is an iconic building located on the corner of Bimport, Shaftesbury and believed to be the site of Lord Arundel’s town house around the late 1600’s. It is also believed to have been the Rose and Crown Public House, Strange Brothers Hardware Store and most recently as the base of Toby’s Young Peoples Project.

In 2015 the property was placed onto the open market and sold to a prominent local property developer. Together with Angel Architects they set about planning the conversion into seven individual flats whilst making the most of the space and retaining the building’s character.

The works are now completed and three of the flats are already sold and occupied. Still available are four flats, one on the ground floor, two on the first floor and one on the second floor.

Each flat comprises a kitchen living room with built in oven and hob, space for a washing machine and fridge or fridge/freezer. Most of the bathrooms include a shower over the bath and many historic features have been retained, including beams and the original staircase, which give the properties their charm. Each flat also includes a private parking space and are within a level walk of the High Street.

The properties are offered to the market with 123 year lease at a guide price from £159,950.
