Standards of driving on the Blandford Road (A354) are shockingly poor. Those drivers attempting crazy overtaking manoeuvers jeopardise their own lives and the lives of others. Cars in the opposite carriageway may contain grandparents, parents, or young children, who are exposed to risk of serious injury or death by those who drive recklessly.

Dangerous driving is a serious criminal offence punishable with two years’ incarceration, even if – mercifully – no accident occurs.

Dangerous drivers risk being caught on dashcam, prosecuted, and sent to prison. For their own safety and profit, they are advised to learn responsible driving, even if the risk of serious harm to themselves and others would not otherwise deter them, as it would a person with sense.

I adjure them to take heed of this warning.
