Police are appealing for witnesses to a theft from a further education college in Cranborne.

Between midnight and 5.15am on Wednesday, January 29, a metal lock-up container was broken into on the grounds of Aurora Boveridge College. Items taken include a Kubota G23-11 ride-on lawnmower, worth about £11,000, and various Stihl gardening tools.

CCTV footage shows two suspects driving the lawnmower away at 4.55am, followed by a black, possibly Peugeot, car loading the other items just after 5am.

Police Community Support Investigator Cheryl Belfield, of East Dorset police, said: “This incident was captured on CCTV and might assist in identifying the offenders.

“Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity at the relevant time, or who has come across the items for sale in unusual circumstances, should get in touch.”
