A fight yesterday, October 19, outside the old Debenham’s store on Blue Boar Row spilled onto the road causing traffic to stop.
Shortly afterwards, two local men were arrested in relation to the incident. An 18-year-old and 17-year-old were taken to Melksham Police Station in custody.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the disorder at about 10pm.
Police said: “Numerous vehicles passed the individuals involved and at one point those fighting stumbled into the road causing vehicles to stop.
“If you heard or saw anything suspicious in this busy area of the city around this time yesterday please come forward; also, if you have any dashcam footage of the incident, contact us.”
