Vaccinations against Covid-19 will be speeded up in Salisbury and Wilton with two large-scale vaccination centres. In wilton, which opened two weeks ago, the Michael Herbert Hall is expanding its operations to cover more days this week.
A new centre opens at Salisbury City Hall on Tuesday, January 26 from 8am to 8pm.
Those eligible for the vaccine, living within a 45-minute drive of each centre, should receive letters with details of how to make an appointment.
Any person who receives a letter can choose to have the vaccine at the sites, or to wait to be invited to a GP-led vaccination clinic, at their practice.
The large-scale centres, open seven days a week, give those able to travel way to get their first jab.
Local volunteers at each venue, including six-formers from Bishop Wordsworth’s School, Salisbury, and Rotarians in Wilton, assist the medical teams at the vaccination centres as more opportunities to get vaccinated are unveiled.
