Firefighters from Amesbury station were sent to the Salisbury Plain Training Area, in Bulford, yesterday, April 8 responding to reports a tank had overturned and was leaking fuel.

But the firefighters’ assistance was not needed and nobody was injured in the incident.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A crew from Amesbury was called to Bulford camp at 2.25pm yesterday to see whether it could assist with a fuel spillage from a military vehicle. After an inspection, no action was required and we left at 3.05pm.”
