Emergency services were called to The Old Orchard Surgery, South Street, Wilton, at about 2.30pm on Saturday, May 1.

A campervan had already left the doctor’s surgery after “significant damage” was caused to part of the building which is off the road in a courtyard. The vehicle had crashed into the front and two fire appliances attended, a specialist heavy rescue unit from Redbridge, Southampton and the local crew from Wilton.

According to a Police report, a Mazda Bongo ‘collided’ with the surgery, but the driver was located and was assisting officers with their enquiries.”

No arrests have been made at this stage.

After an inspection of the building, no action was needed by the fire and rescue service.

The surgery is running a reduced phone service.
