Due to the virus outbreak, City of Salisbury athletics and running club have reluctantly called off the highly-regarded annual Salisbury 10-mile road race due on Sunday,  March 29.

Its organisers decided that, because the race involves a thousand runners from all over the South, plus volunteer marshals and helpers, postponing the event had become inevitable.

The club hopes to be able to fix the race date for later in the year.
