Health Champion Rosie Thompson is walking 100 laps of Peacemarsh Surgery car park tomorrow morning at 11am.

Rosie explained: ‘’A year ago our hearts were captured by Captain Sir Tom Moore as he completed his 100 lap challenge to mark his 100th birthday. Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, people have been encouraged to contribute to the Captain Tom Foundation by completing a challenge based on 100 so on Saturday May 1, I will walk 100 times round the Gillingham Peacemarsh Surgery site.

“As well as trying to raise money for this cause, I want to recognise and celebrate the work of everyone associated with our Medical Practices in Gillingham. At a time when they are facing additional challenges, not just Covid- related, we can all be proud of the exemplary vaccination programme arranged by staff from the surgeries, often on their days off. We have so much to be grateful for here in Gillingham, and so many people who are doing their best to ensure that, in the words of Captain Tom: ‘Tomorrow will be a Better Day.’
