Quizmasters and entertainers Christine and Peter Padwick are going online to continue their fundraising campaign for the city’s charity Salisbury Trust for the Homeless (STFH.) They holding a quiz via the online platform Zoom on Friday, November 27 and the money donated used to help single people who have become homeless to return to independent living.

The couple have raised more than £17,000 for STFH over five years through their music hall-style shows in Salisbury, and from quizzes in a local club. With the COVID-19 pandemic making traditional formats impossible, they are switching to technology to continue their campaign.

“We are hoping lots of people will have a go as the questions are more fun than difficult and we could all do with a laugh at the moment,” said Christine. The couple will be holding further online quizzes in aid of charities Mencap and Cancer Research.

Gordon Pardy, Head of Fundraising for STFH, said: “Christine and Peter have been effective fundraisers for us and we are grateful to them for holding this online quiz. STFH receives no financial support from either central or local government,  so we are much dependent on the generosity of the community in Salisbury and South Wiltshire.”

The quiz is at 7.15pm for 7.30pm and will finish about 9pm. To book a place, email Rachel Edwards at rachel.edwards@stfh.org.uk during office hours for the Zoom link.

STFH is suggesting a minimum donation of £5 per household via JustGiving at justgiving.com/salisburytrustfth/donate/
