Community Policing Teams will be joined by 37 recently-qualified police officers next week to help maintain a visible presence.

The officers will join Swindon and Wiltshire forces as an addition to provide vital reassurance to communities during a period of uncertainty for the nation.

They will work under the guidance of experienced police tutors within their community teams for 12 weeks before gaining independent status.

The group was due to graduate on April 3 but this has been brought forward as they have completed their exams and are fully equipped to support our communities.
