Wiltshire Police report that, between July to December last year, of 143 assaults on officers and staff in Wiltshire, 63 resulted in injury.
Already this year, five assaults against officers and staff have been recorded.
The number of fines issued during the past seven days, between January 18 and 24:
- 33 fixed penalty notices. This brings the overall total to 372, including retrospective FPNs for previous incidents.
- 68 formal warnings for failing to adhere to Government rules, including four to businesses not complying.
- Six interactions/engagement, two for large groups, four not wearing masks.
- 321 reports from members of the public, either via phone or online reporting.
- Four Covid-related crimes and 25 Covid-related incidents.
