A new online shop selling locally made products has opened for the festive season.

www.wiltshiremakers.co.uk showcases artisans from across Wiltshire and neighbouring areas or those with products intrinsically linked to Wiltshire.

Seven artisans are included in the initial launch: The Magnificent Seed, Wessex Spirits, Ta Mako Espresso, Utta Nutta, Alexander Chocolate, Wilding’s Snacks and Sincerest

Shoppers can choose Wiltshire gift boxes online costing from £21.95, including a Taste of Wiltshire, a food and drink delight offering taste-sizes of local food and drink and proving a bestseller. There is also a Wiltshire Food & Drink Hamper offering full sizes of ‘A Taste of’ and three pamper hampers with handmade candles, diffusers and soaps.

Locals to Salisbury benefit from free delivery to any address up to nine miles of the city! Gift boxes can be posted all over the UK.

Wiltshire Makers is a Community Interest Company. All the artisans and directors were originally involved in some way with the popular pop-up shop 36 Salisbury on Salisbury’s High Street last Christmas and was a local authority-led initiative. Wiltshire Makers is a not-for-profit company and is an evolution of the pop-up, now run by a board of independent directors with support from the artisan community. It supports, promotes and helps expand the Wiltshire artisan community and to provide an online shop for them to show and sell their products with all profits re-invested in the company.

The aim is to increase the website during the next 12 months, adding products to suit the seasons and to showcase new artisans. The next phase is an online art gallery selling local artwork, with plans for creating a members ‘subscribe to’ area for local artisans.
