A  new boat play unit at Churchill Gardens replaces the original unit in use for several years.

Companies were invited to submit designs and in October, 2020, Salisbury residents chose their favourite design on Salisbury City Council’s Facebook page. The winning design, created by Proludic Ltd, is for children aged three. Much like the old one, it is adventure boat-themed and includes a climbing net, slide. and imaginative play among other things.

Councillor Sven Hocking said: “We are pleased the play unit has now been installed at Churchill Gardens.  It demonstrates the City Council’s continuing commitment to investing in our children’s play areas.  Our play parks are still open at present but please could I request of parents that, given the ongoing Coronavirus situation, they sanitise their children’s hands before using the equipment.”

The council hopes the equipment will be well used and enjoyed and reminds families to remember to follow the important Covid-19 guidelines when visiting parks and play areas.
