Nurses, administrative staff, GPs and health professionals from Salisbury Medical Practice have received a festive treat gift card that supports local businesses.   The staff at the four sites in the city received a Salisbury Gift Card in December to thank them for their work during the pandemic as a way to thank them after an extremely busy year.

Salisbury Gift Cards can be spent at over 130 places in the city, including cafés like Dinghams and Costa, restaurants such as Allium, Cosy Club and The Refectory, national retailers like Marks and Spencer, Joules and Lakeland and independent retailers such as The Hat Shop and Chas Baker, Salisbury Museum, Odeon cinema and Playhouse, and on professional services such as beauty and wellbeing.

Robin McGowan, chief executive of Salisbury BID said: “Since we introduced the Salisbury Gift Card, it has been a popular way for local employers to reward their staff. This festive season, we’ve seen even more employers taking advantage of the UK trivial benefits scheme, enabling them to gift employees a tax free benefit of up to £50.

“Every pound we keep circulating in Salisbury is money we are locking into our economy to drive recovery of the city. Over £14,000 worth of Salisbury Gift Cards were sold in November and December alone. These cards will be spent with local businesses once we are out of lockdown, helping them at a vital time.”
