Salisbury Charter Market is to open from 8am until 3pm as a trial this Saturday, May 16 in Salisbury Market Place for food and other essential items but very different to the usual market as stalls will allow social distancing for public safety.

Similar to safety measures at local supermarkets, with restricted access using barriers, visitors follow social distancing guidelines. Salisbury City Council staff will assist to ensure safety.  Shoppers should use contactless payment and not cash at those stalls where possible.

The Council said it will keep residents informed of other charter markets.
