Leisure centres will reopen on Thursday, December 3, after the lifting of national restrictions, Wiltshire Council has confirmed.

The council’s centres with have the same facilities and services as before the national restrictions from November 5.

Amesbury Sports and Community Centre will also be open to welcome the local communities and supporting their health and fitness.

The council stressed that health and safety will still be the priority. To manage the number of people at each centre at any given time, customers must book online in advance, and follow social distancing and increased hygiene measures.

Opening hours are online and Christmas opening hours will be released shortly.

Swimming lessons resume except for lessons.

Gymnastics lessons start at Five Rivers on December 3, and Tidworth on  December 8.

Sports development activities including Healthier Communities, StreetGames and Walking Sports return on  December 7, with appropriate social distancing measures. Participants will be contacted in due course.
