An Injunction Order was granted for Wiltshire Council at Salisbury County Court to protect residents and prevent antisocial behaviour at a property in Downton.

The Injunction Order prevents Jennifer Rose Todd, of no fixed abode, from contacting certain residents, from visiting certain properties in Downton, from being verbally abusive, and from shouting or swearing loudly in public. If Ms Todd is found to be in breach of the Order, she could be arrested and may be held to be in contempt of court, and could be fined, imprisoned or both.

The Order remains in force for two years, until February, 2023.

Council officers worked with Wiltshire Police colleagues to obtain the Order, after a number of complaints about incidents at a council tenant’s property in the village. The council had previously secured two Closure Orders on the property, but this did not resolve the situation, so it obtained the Injunction Order.
