Visitor restrictions at Salisbury District hospital have been partially lifted from today, Tuesday, April 13. Patients can have a daily visitor for up to one hour.

But visitors must follow social distancing, wear face masks, unless exempt, and book at least a day in advance by calling the ward clerk between 10am and 4pm, and provide details for NHS Test and Trace.

Judy Dyos, Director of Nursing said: “With infection rates lower, I’m pleased we can ease some of the visitor restrictions. I understand how difficult it has been for people not to be able to see their loved ones and I would like to thank everyone for their support and patience. Please continue to follow the rules to protect our patients and staff.”

Exceptions to the one visitor only rule include the Children’s Ward and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, vulnerable adults and patients nearing the end of life.
