A shopper committed a ‘heinous act’ and put the ‘public’s health at risk’ of catching COVID 19 when he had a swig from a bottle of Cappuccino.
He was walking in the Spar Shop in Tidworth, when he suddenly reached up and took the bottle off a shelf.
He unscrewed the cap, had a swig, before screwing the top back on and returning it back on the shelf display.
Luckily a sharp-eyed staff member spotted what he had done and dashed to the shelf and removed it.
Shop owner Andrew Connolly fumed: ”I am disgusted and horrified that the public‘s health can be put at risk by such an irresponsible and heinous act. It is a disgusting habit.”
Susan Connolly from Spar said: “The man concerned has come back to the store today to apologise for his actions and pay for the goods he stole. He also made a donation to Marie Curie.”
