Organisers of a local home library service are hoping to be heading towards some form of business as usual after June 21.

“The message is ‘Team Stur’ Home Library Service is here for anyone who requires it who is unable to access our library for whatever reason, short or long term Believe it or not, during both lockdowns, we took on more than six new readers and two new volunteers: all initial paperwork needed to be achieved by telephone. But we wouldn’t be the service we are without staring adversity in the face, and finding a way to support others. That’s why whatever role we play we are only too pleased to be not just volunteers, but Royal Voluntary Service Volunteers,” a spokesperson said.

In January, a 2021 Challenge – ‘A Visit to the Zoo’ was launched for anyone who could knit, crochet, felt or stitch any animal or zoo- keeper found in a zoo. The animals were sold to raise funds for Dorset Home Library.
