Forum Lager has been launched to celebrate the re-opening of Hall & Woodhouse pubs. The Dorset brewer has temporarily rebranded its pubs, with a percentage of sales going to local charities across the south.

The Helles-style lager, brewed exclusively by H&W, has been rebranded temporarily to Unlock’d Lager to mark the reuniting of communities, after the nationwide lockdown. The charity initiative and new temporary name was developed by H&W’s brewing team.

The family brewer will donate 10p from the sale of every pint to each pub’s local chosen charity. In addition, £1 per case of bottles sold in the brewery shop, online or in-store, goes to Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance Charity.

Anthony Woodhouse, chairman of Hall & Woodhouse, said: “It was a great feeling unlocking the doors and re-opening our pubs to guests again after the UK lockdown. Our pubs are the heart of our communities and it’s fantastic to be able to welcome back some familiar faces, albeit in a slightly different way.

“As we begin to serve great beer to guests once again, we are mindful of the severe impact the coronavirus crisis has had on charities across the UK. Unlock’d Lager gives us a way to celebrate our communities’ strength during the pandemic, whilst providing our local, chosen charities with some extra support at a time when they really need it most.”
