BMV Health and Fitness is a family business established in 1965. The club has provided health and fitness services to local people for more than a decade at Blackmore Vale Services, Shaftesbury.

“We are a friendly, welcoming club for ages and abilities. Every member has a free trial, health and fitness assessment, and an individual program designed for their needs. We operate a monthly membership without being tied to long contracts,” said owner James Farrow.

Reopening on April 12, James has used the lockdown period to come up with four points of focus to give people the confidence and reassurance they need to return to fitness during these uncertain times.

BMV back to health training plan:

1. Exercise can improve your mental health and is something you can control for yourself.
“We will be working with our new members to identify what they want to achieve so they can set goals and feel positive.”
2. Weight management. “Training can help you effectively lose lockdown pounds in a healthy way.”
3. Returning to fitness after lockdown. “A structured training program will help to prevent injury and get results.”
4. Training together. “This is a great way to bond with family members and partners.”
