A 300,000 Step Challenge for Salisbury Hospice Charity has been completed by Smith & Williamson staff.

The 14 staff from the financial and professional service firm’s office in Salisbury city centre raised £1,530 for Salisbury Hospice Charity in the challenge in their lockdown home locations.

The team completed 4,692,825 steps, around 2,222 miles or 3,575km. Alongside the steps challenge, some of the team’s staff set targets with fitness-based rewards and forfeits.

Lisa Ball, Partner at Smith & Williamson LLP in Salisbury said: “It is great to see so many members of staff getting involved in the challenge for a really great cause, particularly at such a difficult time for everyone. The hospice does some amazing work and we hope the funds raised can make a difference to such a fantastic local charity.”

Paula Flower, Head of Fundraising at Salisbury Hospice Charity added: “Thank you to all the staff at Smith & Williamson for taking part in the brilliant 300,000 step challenge. This was a fabulous team effort on behalf of Salisbury Hospice. Your support during these unprecedented times is absolutely invaluable.”
