From John Wigglesworth, Durrington

They say the pen is mightier than the sword! Why is it then, that people do not take the time to write and complain to the source of power?

In our village, we have problems. but do villagers make it known? They take up time to tell others but not to the right people.

I have asked our council for a crossing where children and old people cross in the area where even our council meeting is held.

Traffic comes round at speed mostly! At the other side of the village, they have a crossing: why cannot we? Talk about bad planning!

Can I ask people in Stonehenge Road to write into the council and demand one?

I live at the junction of Stonehenge Road and Pinckneys Way. Across the road is a large building that has overgrown hedging at the junction. No drivers can look left to see traffic come up the hill.

The next-door bungalow drive was cracking up due to the roots of this hedging. I asked the council to get the owner to cut this hedging back where it is causing damage and obscuring vision. It is the right of every council to legally ask for this to be done without delay.

Councils should begin doing this ats it is part of their job and responsibility!

People who live there should write in and complain. This is the final chapter!
