The first regional rugby festival attracted 80 girls from Wiltshire and Dorset to Salisbury Rugby Football Club for a mix of games and skill development.  The Salisbury format kept everyone active and is to be adopted by the region for future events.

Head Coach Jonny White said: “This is the first time Salisbury has hosted this regional event and it has been a real success.  We are committed to creating great opportunities for the growing number of girls who want to play rugby.”

Salisbury RFC now has 50 girls, supported by Chemring, and a growing women’s section. The club is aiming for 80 girls between Years 6 and 13 in this, their centenary year.  Training is on Sundays from 9.50am to 12 noon next to the club on Hudson’s Fields.
