A feast for the senses, TASTE – Salisbury’s premier food and drink festival, returns for its third year from September 28 to October 1.

With a line-up of exciting events and personalities, this year’s festival could be bigger and better than ever, the organisers claim.

The festival starts with Giuseppe Dell’Anno, winner of The Great British Bake Off 2021. This “Britalian” baker, engineer, and author will show his love for delicious food, using local ingredients to create mouth-watering recipes live. Also on, this evening, local artist, Edward Scott has a foodie-inspired life drawing class in the Guildhall’s Banqueting Hall.

On the following evening, Friday, Rums & Drums is in the TASTE Marquee, a Book & Pudding Club at The Wood Bar, and a scientific food sensation in the Guildhall, and a sensory exploration at ‘Sound Bites & Sonic Seasoning’ with Professor Charles Spence from Oxford University.

Discover the fascinating connection between sound and taste and sample wine alongside surprising sounds – said to be an incredible, unique event not to be missed!

For daytime activities, a range of workshops, activities, walks and trails include a table-scaping workshop with Casa Fina, a cookbook binding workshop at Fisherton Mill, Herb & Foraging Walks starting at Five Rivers Leisure Centre, and free activities at Salisbury Library.

On Saturday, the Guildhall Square becomes a City Beer Festival site and TASTE Marquee featuring foodie names.

Lorna Cooper, founder of the ‘Feed Your Family for Around £20 a Week’ Facebook community, shares her expertise on budget-friendly cooking, minimising waste, and creating meals. This free event is sponsored by Central Fruits, but requires a pre-reserved ticket.

Omari Mcqueen, CBBC star and viral sensation, is just 15 years old and a renowned vegan chef, author, and TV personality. He prepares dishes using local ingredients and sharing his inspiring journey.

On Sunday is the return of Foodie Sunday, an all-day food and drink extravaganza featuring local food producers and suppliers with food demos, tastings, and local chefs at the demo kitchen stage.

The music stage has local live performances throughout the day, and bakes and creations can be displayed as part of the Great Salisbury Bake Off.

Gritchie Brewing Company, eating competitions and challenges, and smaller portions help celebrate four days of foodie fun with a gastronomic event for all the family.

TASTE Salisbury 2023 promises many offers, extra events, and food specials. From pop-up workshops and live demonstrations to foraging walks and live music, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
