Growing support from local residents and community groups has come in response to the request to sign up to volunteer or to get help.
More than 100 individuals or groups are supporting those in need in the community during the Covid19 outbreak, or to let Salisbury City Council and Wessex Community Action (WCA) know if they need support. It could be as simple as help walking the dog or perhaps collecting prescriptions or even just a friendly voice on the end of the phone. Salisbury City Council and WCA are obtaining DBS or reference checks for all volunteers so should you sign up requiring assistance you can feel confident in the checking process.
Volunteers are still wanted: register on line or call the City Council or WCA. Groups are particularly encouraged to register. WCA and the council can signpost those requiring help to the most appropriate resource in their area, all working together.
