Unity through Dance is being aired at Wylye Valley C of E Primary School, Codford
Pupils staff have been taught a dance routine by professional dancer, Charlotte Lloyd, a former pupil at the school. After consultation with head teacher Robert Barnes, Charlotte put together a simple routine and visited the school, weekly, to teach each class, from Reception to Year 6, and all the staff some fun dance moves. She has also created an online tutorial for the children at home as a result of Lockdown so the whole school can participate in the dance together.
Robert said: “The dances were recorded by Charlotte last week, with those at home sending in their own recordings. She is now putting together a special video incorporating the whole school – each participant getting their chance to shine, and at the same time shining a light on the whole school as they unite in this enjoyable but important event. The school is looking forward to the video with baited breath and will be celebrating the summer term with an outdoor disco hosted by Charlotte.”
