Station on Tisbury High Street has bought a flare of something slightly different to the area. Before having your coffee and lunch, place an order for your refillable bottles and bags to be filled with food goods.

Mike and Claire, who runs the Refill Station would be happy to take a list from you and sort out what you would like to buy. It could be weighed and packed for you while you enjoy your meal with a clean conscience knowing you are not buying into the world of plastic and you are supporting local produce.

“It has taken me a while to get used to it,” said Claire, who lives close by. “But now I have a bag of containers that I will take to the refill station. It is fantastic for many food basics, including olive oil, peppercorns, sea salt, spices, lentils, dried fruit and nuts.”

Shelley and Kelly still love being ‘Coffee Angels’ and are still great friends, as well as work colleagues. The cafe is stylishly decorated, white walls with bright prints of Tisbuy on the walls, colourful scatter cushions on a wooden bench.

First thing in the morning, you can try a bacon bap and americano/cup of tea for only £5. The freshly-made sandwiches are served with side salad, crisps and pickle/coleslaw.

“As we like to keep things local, our coffee is made using milk from ‘Church Farm Dairy’ in Semley, just down the road.
“We sell ‘Dusty Ape Coffee’, a roaster near Bath, and Monmouth coffee from London. Our favourite is ‘Our Blend’ which we use daily and customers can buy ground or whole bean. We provide freshly-made sandwiches and toasties – using the best bread from ‘Taylor’s of Bruton’. All our cakes are homemade by ‘Janis Poppy Lakes Bakes’.”

“It is the best ginger cake for miles and brownies to die for!” said Mary who, since lockdown, goes to the shop and cafe weekly to celebrate being able to get out and about. “I was thrilled to see the coffee shop stocks the Tony’s Chocolate and Thomas Fudge’s brands, their cheese biscuits are the best.”

Overall, it seems customers love the concept and it is proving to be a real success for both enterprises.
