Whether on a lunch break or catching up with a friend over a cup of coffee, New Valley News has found the best places to assuage your needs.

All of our findings are in and around Salisbury, making it easy to grab that coffee.

 The Salisbury Orangery

The Salisbury Orangery takes beautiful décor to the next level, coupled with glass-topped tables filled with flowers and foliage.

The café is by the River Avon complementing the place perfectly.

Here, every day is the weekend as brunch is served until 4pm all week.

Grab a coffee and one of ‘Fi’s Amazing Brownies’, handmade by a local baker.

Sonder Coffee

With this coffee shop, location is everything.

On the corner of Salisbury’s High Street, the layout of the old shop holds a modern but rustic theme with beautiful exposed bricks, stylish hanging lights and some super friendly faces.

This spot is the perfect place for people watching with a cup of delicious coffee.

Herbs and Wild

Herbs and Wild, based in Wilton, is actually the perfect place for a coffee on those slightly soggy days.

This café is poignantly placed under a beautiful tepee tent, as they embrace all things outdoors, cooking with foraged ingredients and local and seasonal products.

As well as serving up hearty lunches and beautifully-flavoured cakes, Herbs and Wild host workshops where you can learn the art of foraging, preserving, sourdough baking and fermentation.

The Yard

Found in a Victorian warehouse, the building was home to a battery factory, a bakery, and a naughty knickers shop.

Hidden down a little alleyway the building is now a shop, tearoom and gallery.

Inside, an Alice in Wonderland-esque shop is filled with wonderful trinkets, freshly baked cakes, tasty coffee and quirky art pieces.

The shop has a beautiful aesthetic.

If you fall in love with the coffee at The Yard, you can become part of the ‘coffee club’ and treat yourself to a monthly subscription of coffee beans.

Monty & Mabel’s

If you are a dog lover, this dog-obsessed place is for you.

Monty & Mabel’s in Wilton offers a very cosy indoor and outdoor seating area, with rustic furniture and a plethora of dog objects to stare at, with free parking nearby in the Market Square.

With food served all day and a selection of home-made cakes (I recommend the Victoria sponge), it is a great spot to have a natter with a companion.
