Salisbury Methodist Church fourth Crib Festival is from Thursday, December 12 to Saturday, 14.

Last year the display had more than 100 different crib scenes, and the same number or more is expected this year. A Craft a Christmas Crib Competition has prizes from local businesses for children.

“We will be giving a voucher to spend in one of the Salisbury shops for each age group – Reception – Year 2, Years 3 – 6 and Year 7 and over: details are on our web site www.salisburymethodist.org,uk.  If you have a crib scene that you would like to display at our Festival please contact us.

“A well as tea, coffee and cakes in the welcome area, we are taking bookings for Festive Teas, sandwiches, mince pies and Christmas cake, plus a cup of tea or coffee.  Booking forms are available, so please encourage your friends to come and enjoy tea with you.  A suggested donation of £6 would be appreciated,” said Sue Gilbert, one of the organisers.

Saturday morning has a Christmas Wreath Workshop – bookings taken now.

Musical groups play, including the Belletones, Salisbury Community Choir and New Sarum Singers.

Booking forms are on the website.

Donations received are split between Women’s Refuge and the Church.

“We look forward to welcoming as many people as possible through our doors,” Sue added.
