Using more than £7 million of Government funding to support local businesses, Wiltshire Council is managing a Local Restrictions Support Grant scheme.

This scheme is aimed at businesses which had to close due to the national restrictions which started on November 5.

One-off grants are available to eligible businesses to support them during the four-week closure and to help them with ongoing challenges presented by coronavirus, the council said.

Eligible businesses include those with properties with a rateable value of £15,000 or under  – £1,334, or with properties with a rateable value of between £15,000 and £51,000 – £2,000 or properties with a rateable value of £51,000 or over – £3,000

Wiltshire Council has another £10 million for the Additional Restrictions Grant. This discretionary grant scheme is to support businesses required to close or have been severely affected by the national restrictions, but which do not pay business rates.
