With 30 years of teamwork, it’s community, passion, excellence, and consistency which adds up to longevity, success and in more recent times resilience, according to Jayne Prigent.

Multi–winning salon group, JAS Hair celebrates 30 years of trading in Salisbury this month. Salon owner Jayne said: “My family were all born in Salisbury so it made perfect sense to start my business in the heart of the city. Just before my 21st birthday, I took over another salon based in New Canal (now The White Stuff) and re-opened after a refurb in November, 1990. We had some great times in that salon adding a number of stylists and introducing beauty to the salon.

In 2006, we opened our Wilton Hair & Beauty Salon in 2007 after we purchased 26 North Street , and we bought the freehold of 60 New Street. In 2013, we opened our Aveda Hair and Beauty Spa within Parkwood Fitness Club. We also had a salon in Christchurch for 10 years.”

“We have enjoyed some fantastic and fun times over the years. Running Salisbury Fashion Week with our friend Cat Dunning was one of the many highlights, with winning several industry awards culminating in a ‘Legend’ award and many local training and business awards.

“Caring for our community comes naturally. We’ve always been committed to local fundraising, collaborating with local business and getting personally involved in community projects. Being involved, and now an Ambassador of the Stars Appeal, supporting their great treks over the years and raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for them.

“We would not be here after 30 years if it was not for the loyalty of our clients and our fantastic team, so a BIG ‘thank you’ to them all. We had some great party plans and various events arranged, unfortunately, all had to be cancelled.”
